I believe finpension are already doing that. I’m assuming clients number in the high four to low five digits, so it’s also in the interest of especially the bigger cantons (ZH, BE, AG) to have acceptable reporting.
Do you generate the report only if the amount of CHF 100 is exceeded? I assume there could be customers of yours that have holdings outside of FI pension, and the threshold is exceeded cumulatively.
Customers who exceed the amount for CHF 100 will automatically receive the report in their app. For all other individuals, we will generate the report upon request.
I want to add, that Finpension only does this if the report exceeds 1 CHF. This is the case for about 400 CHF in one S&P 500 ETF.
Has anybody so far successfully handed in such a report, which then also got accepted by tax authorities?
We have received a positive response from one canton. However, another tax authority has rejected our reporting. We have submitted an objection against this rejection and are now seeking a judicial resolution.
