Product manager, interviewing at UBS - can I buy index funds if i get the job?

Sorry to hijack the thread but since there might be UBS employees around.

Anyone could ask around if there’s any chance the super nice resources from CS could be kept around/still published?

In particular the real estate fund at a glance was super useful would love if this was still available monthly (or a couple of times a year), last one

Also things like https://www.credit-suisse.com/media/assets/private-banking/docs/ch/privatkunden/finanzplanung/erbrecht-steuertabelle-en.pdf which was a super nice overview of inheritance/gift tax per canton

Did you get the job? Any updates from your side regarding securities held at another broker?

Regarding the UBS funds account and the choice of funds:

I see only two reasonable options among the passive offerings:

Fund TER Index
UBS (CH) Investment Fund - Equities Global Passive W 0.26% MSCI World ex Switzerland
UBS (CH) Investment Fund - Equities USA Passive W 0.23% MSCI USA Index

Currently, I have nearly 100% of my investments in VT, which includes emerging markets. If I were to switch to one of these UBS funds for simplicity, I’m unsure which to choose, though I’m leaning toward the MSCI USA option.

What do you think? Essentially, if you had to allocate all your equity investments into just one of these funds, which would you choose?

Hm, excluding 3% of total world market sounds better than excluding 40% of it, no?

UBS (CH) Investment Fund - Equities Global Passive W, 0.26% (MSCI World ex Switzerland) + UBS whatever Swiss index you like if you want some Swiss bias.

I would go like this:

  • UBS (CH) Investment Fund - Equities Global Passive W (80-90%)
  • UBS SLICHA ETF (10-20%)

The fact that foreign banks in Switzerland (who must comply with the same FINMA rules as Swiss banks) don’t require employee account consolidation, but accept a disclosure together with pre-clearance and trade information, shows, that the rules of Swiss banks are probably excessive. It is “interesting”, that all Swiss banks do the same, given that they have joint forums where they discuss “compliance”-matters.

If you are a Swiss bank employee and you believe that required account consolidation is excessive and forces you to accept the higher fees of your employer bank and prevents you from trading with a cheaper alternative, use this form of the Swiss Price Surveillance Authority to place an anonymous complaint.

Should you submit such a complaint, please don’t copy/paste this post here but use your own words to describe the situation.

Hey everyone and hope you’re doing great. Does any one of you has experience in selling Cash Secured Puts, in US stocks, as an UBS employee? I cannot find any information on this, on the best product, or if it’s even allowed.
