Hi al

Hope this is the right place to ask.

I heard recently that some people take loans that are 90+ years long and only pay back interest. so they never pay back capital and never really own the property.

how is this load type called? I am interested in learning more. anyone having more information, please share as it will be highly appreciated

He sounds like a complete fraud.

Are you perhaps thinking of a leashold (droit de superficie)?

Question to the audience.

I need to renew my mortgage next year, and I wanted to know if there is any condition to change the bank. I have only 1 tranche.

No general conditions that I’m aware of, but you have to check your specific contract conditions (including any notice period you may have there)

Thank you. I remember in one of the online calculators like comparis asked me to do 250k amortization

Same here. You must give notice to your current bank (normally 3 to 6 months, check your contract) to end the contract.

At the same time look for a new mortgage provider, or go with something like Moneypark.
