Withdrawal same day or next opened day. It is as quick as any Swiss bank transfer.

I used to have a standing order from my Swiss bank account to monthly wire money to my IBKR account. Recently switched to another Swiss bank. When I entered to fund my account for a standing order I got a new Swiss Iban compared to the previous one I had. Is that normal?

Just got the same thing, I previously used the citi IBAN, now it told me to use an UBS one.
I will see in March if that goes through without a hitch.

I tried to reply in other IBKR thread but was not able to (max 3 replies). After having issues from IBKR I got the following:

"I finally got feedback from IBKR today. After 17 calendar days they have confirmed that they DID NOT receive any funds from UBS.

I have opened an inquiry to my bank on this transactions to trace and get the funds to my personal account.

What a mess and lack of confidence this whole process is giving me.
Hope I can bring positive news next time"

Well I transferred using the citi IBAN as recently as last week, so i guess I will keep using that one

I know that IBKR has a good reputation. But the web version is realy altbacken (looks old and error-prone) - at least for me, someone who rarely works with it. Some things are extremely slow. For example, opening the message centre takes ~12 seconds for me. And today I was briefly startled after IBKR failed to display my positions. After a reload, they were there again.

Screenshot, missing positions

Has it always been like this, or has it got better/worse in recent years?

Edit:

It happened again, this time I was able to look into the DevTools of Firefox.

The following request

https://www.interactivebrokers.co.uk/portal.proxy/v1/portal/portfolio/<USERID>/combo/positions?nocache=true

is answered with an HTTP 500 and the message {"error": "Not ready"}. However, the IBKR interface interprets this as “No positions” instead of displaying a reasonable error.

Hopefully a temporary problem.

On weekends it’s always been whacky since they do their migrations/updates on the weekends. Sometimes you can’t even login but they then display a maintenance warning on the login page.

Every time I access the account statements, it automatically logs me out
I created the IBKR account two months ago and have already lost confidence. I really hope that they do their administrative work better than the technical work.

Had the same issue y’day. Closed the browswer tab, logged into a new one, fixed the issue.

Had to delete the cookies, now the account statements work. But now I have an error message on the dashboard when retrieving the last transactions. Perhaps they are simply overloaded. In any case, there is nothing about this on the system status page, which leaves me with a bad feeling. Anyway, I’ll leave it for today. Tomorrow is another day. Or the day after tomorrow.

Send me your login credentials, I’ll debug this issue for you

I finally got an answer this week. They cannot add it, as “USD assets traded in Germany create clearing issues”.

FYI I just used the citi IBAN from the new account and it worked no issues, I’ll be using that for now

I got an email today from IBKR asking me to vote for the general assembly of Alcon (CH0432492467). That had my head spinning since Ito my knowledge, IBRK does not add your name to the share registry. The link goes to www.proxypush.com, and indeed the proposals match what I get to see in www.gvote.ch (for my shares at Postfinance - they do add my name to the share registry).
So now I’m curious - I didn’t get such an invitation to vote for any other shares in my IBKR Portfolio. How come they have (I guess you’d call it ‘proxy voting’) for Alcon and not the rest (or has anybody received a similar invitation for other Swiss shares? I know for certain US shares you get to proxy vote through IBKR, e.g. Tesla).

Anyone ever had a push notification “null order for U*** was cancelled by trader” even though there was no order placed? (Android)
I changed some notification settings in IBKR today (too much volatility these days & wanted less notifications), including turning on the “Trade” push.

Then 1h later got like 3 push with this “null order”, but when I click on it, nothing is shown as there is no order.

Just looked at the Annual cost and charges statement.

Does anyone understand what this category means?

Accounts for roughly 0.27% of assets, so wondering if that would be e.g. the TERs of the funds I hold?
But it’s phrased super confusingly to me - “entering/exiting an investment service?”

Type One-off
Investment Services Costs are fees that are incurred on a one-time, transactional, ongoing or incidental basis to provide and perform investment services. Costs and charges incurred at the beginning (entry) or at the end (exit) of the provided investment service(s)

These should be buy and sell costs
are you doing a lot of trading?

Not really,
when I look at my commissions/fees/transactions (for trading + stamp tax etc.),
they amount to about 10x smaller amount than that one.

Edit: Ah it seems that would be withholding tax,
just went through all the details of my annual activity statement.

Makes sense WHT is reasonable size
