How much do you pay your broker?

Off topic

But your comment should be a proof point for those who are constantly worried about being classified as professional trader when they bought a stock and sold in 3 months

They should relax

2024 IBKR:

  • Commissions: $64.09
  • End NAV: $277k

For providing this amount of liquidity to the market, you should be getting paid instead of paying fees.

(One of my mentors manages to garner fees – at IBKR – when executing trades, usually basket trades, that provide liquidity to the market)

I’ve bought and sold a stock in one minute: usually because I pressed buy instead of sell and have to reverse it!

I personally reserve to do this kind of trade only when the underlying is extremely volatile and a mis-trade costs me at least 5% or so.

Tribute to the market gods.

On my side, last time I have checked all Cost % / total invested was equivalent to -0,16 %.

I will check again in may when I will get all the fees reports

Where do you all find this breakdown of commissions and fees?

The costs should be more correlated to transactions rather than invested funds.

Just received my fees report from my 3 brokers:

Type of fees BforBank Saxo IBKR Total
Commissions 1’055 (97,59%) 310 (94,51%) 262 (94,58%) 1627
Transaction fees 26 (2,41%) 15 (4,57%) 15 (5,42%) 56
Other fees, inducement 0 3 (1%) 3
Cost / Portfolio 1,11 % 0,16 % 0,12 % 1’686

When executing the Aggregated Costs and Charges report on IB, I generate this error :

There is no statement available for the account(s) and date(s) selected.

How do you generate the costs and commissions on IBKR ?

For now. Since they are legally required to provide this report, it will be made available. The only question is when. The simplest option would be to open a support ticket and ask them directly. Otherwise, if you generate the detailed general statement, you can also find this information there, particularly under the « commissions » section in the cash flow breakdown.

I have just received the cost report from IBKR by email.
I will remember it is expected in May.

Investment Services Cost versus transaction fees are nothing.
I have updated my table.
It is the active managed fund in Small caps that are having the biggest slice of the cake.
