ETFs for China? + Portfolio

Burton Malkiel discusses the problem of lack of representation of China in his famous book “Random Walk Down Wall Street” and he proposes some ETFs to complement the world-cap portfolio. Here’s (in my post in another thread) a screenshot from the book:

Burton Malkiel provides some excellent examples of ETFs for this region in last edition of “Random Walk Down Wall Street”: [image] PS. I’d combine these three with VWO (which is 34% China anyway), but I’m not sure yet in what proportions.

PS1. Malkiel in recent years even worked in some startup to create an ETF providing broadly-diversified China exposure. He also did some academic research on that topic.

World market capitalisation by region/ country

VT is quite good as representing the world weighted. However, China is under represented because VT doesn’t include all China stock for exemple China A share. Have a look at http://www.ftse.com/products/downloads/About_FTSE_China_Indices.pdf Personally, I have bought some shares of Lyxor MSCI China A Fortune SG (DR) UCITS ETF (FR0011720911) to mitigate this issue.
