You’re not afraid of heights!

easy come, easy go philosophy

anyone looking at ONON at those prices?

Well it looks better than NKE.

The question for me is how can the textile and clothing producers handle the current enegry crunsh and shipping price spike? Looking at the numbers it does not look like they are paying out of their margins.

Still, every clothing brand has been slaughtered so far, but we kind of agree that everyone will need new shoes at some point. Therfore either every brand has been overvalued before or the selloff was exagerated and we resume upwards once the market realizes that we in fact need shoes and socks.

Nothing wrong with that statement,
but On is an overpriced “once was” brand,
that just went the path of maximum profits (aka minimum costs at expense of quality),
and had to remove the red-white flag from their products in the process.

Not necessarily at CHF 200 a pair though.

I wouldn’t be surprised if, faced with a cost-of-living crisis, consumers substitute and opt for more affordable brands instead.

Wow, somebody with the same idea, though my biggest holding is SAP and CSU/Topicus.

What are your thougths about End of Saas? I am working in the industry, and I see many similarities to the “indian programmers will take our jobs” twenty years ago. The real challenge was always understanding the requirements, coding is only 10% of the job for me.

I agree, coding is just a small part of the process and not the actual task to be done. It would be like saying that a word processor would end the legal profession because it would be so much cheaper and quicker to write a legal opinion. Or that spreadsheets would be the end of the accounting industry. Or that desktop publishing would be the end of newspapers.

These are tools that will make the subtask cheaper for these companies to do.

However there is an additional risk with AI that the high level tasks may become redundant or done better than in a different way and therefore there is a risk to some of these companies and it is very much dependent on the company and so it is not possible to generalize the industry as a whole.

Took some profits on SaaS and allocated proceeds to gold, commodities, uranium, avgo, mrvl, lmt and cash.

Thinking about buying INFO at SIX.
Someone already bought them?

Thinking about it as I am a more or less happy customer (apart from the sometimes very French support or wording .. you would expect translations to be better in today’s world)

Not sure, if they are a good investment though, they have a UPS with being fully Switzerland based and limited links to the US. But then it is 300 employees vs. the tens of thousands in MS or AMZN
