# After 40 years of financial ignorance, it is time to invest smart - but how?

Hi nobeard,  
thanks for asking :D. Live is great so far, moneywise I just try to get the basics right. I moved all existing 3a Pillars to VIAC, Investing in VT ETF with IB and crying over falling cryptocurrency values (still positive though).  
Growth is very slow but steady - so I don’t think much about it, but I am learning to get the whole IB thing right, with taxes etc…
